FACTORS AFFECTING SUCCESS OF REAL ESTATE PROJECTS IN ADDIS ABABA

Abstract

The real estate sector in Addis Ababa has witnessed significant growth, yet factors affecting project success of real estate projects remains a critical concern. This thesis investigates the various factors affecting project success of real estate projects in Addis Ababa. This study aims to identify the factors affecting the effectiveness of real estate projects in Addis Ababa. To achieve this, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining quantitative data from surveys of stakeholders in the real estate sector and qualitative insights from in-depth interviews with industry experts. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of real estate projects in Addis Ababa is influenced by multiple interconnected factors. Financial constraints, infrastructural deficiencies, and communication challenges are the primary barriers, The study concludes that project success of real estate projects in Addis Ababa is influenced by multiple interconnected factors. Project management and market research also play significant roles, with the effectiveness of these elements being contingent upon the overall economic and regulatory environment. Future research should explore the dynamic interactions between these factors and their longterm effects on the real estate market.
